To conclude its 70th anniversary season, the Los Alamos Choral Society is presenting its Spring Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, May at the United Church of Los Alamos.

The concert entitled “Encore!  Favorites Through The Years” will include music from past performances; from the 1970s through the past decade.

Included in this program are:

  • “How Can I Keep From Singing”, an American folk hymn arranged by Ronald Staheli,

Dance Arts Los Alamos, now in its 21st year of bringing professional dance training and high quality performances to the community, will present three distinct programs this weekend.

The performances will highlight the accomplishments of dancers ages 3 through adult as well as the talent and diversity of the DALA faculty. All performances will take place at the Duane Smith Auditorium. Admission is free.

Grease is the word! Since the start of year, the dance students of Los Alamos High School have been learning and perfecting the art of ballroom dance and will perform at 7 p.m. Monday, May 20 in the Dwayne Smith Auditorium. LAHS teacher Natasha Barkhudarova teaches her students the fundamentals of dance and performance and in this case, the dances were inspired by the musical Grease.
