Author and Santa Fe resident George R. R. Martin gives a thumbs up, as Mayor Javier Gonzales declares March 29 George R. R. Martin Day in Santa Fe. Movie Production in Pajarito Acres March 31-April 7

COUNTY News:

The Lifetime made-for-TV movie “Jubilee” will be filming in Pajarito Acres March 31 through April 7. 

Los Alamos County will post announcements regarding the film production at www.losalamosnm.us under “News & Alerts.”

Film Location:

The production company has an agreement with a homeowner on S. Monte Rey Drive. This week they will be constructing a temporary wall on the property near the road for filming, after which it will be dismantled.

“Muppets Most Wanted” has just opened at our local movie house, the Reel Deal. It is a fun, feel good movie, with lots of laughs and surprise guest cameos. It’s vastly entertaining if you can just relax and let your funny bone be tickled.

Santa Fe is in for a treat, thanks to George R. R. Martin, Santa Fe resident, owner of the Jean Cocteau Cinema and most famously, author of A Song of Ice and Fire, the series of novels on which the HBO series Game of Thrones is based.
