‘Game of Thrones’ Season Four Premieres in Santa Fe

Santa Fe is in for a treat, thanks to George R. R. Martin, Santa Fe resident, owner of the Jean Cocteau Cinema and most famously, author of A Song of Ice and Fire, the series of novels on which the HBO series Game of Thrones is based.

The series will premiere its fourth season in the City Different as well as L.A. and New York March 29, a week before the television premiere.

There will be three screenings at the Jean Cocteau: one in Spanish (no subtitles) at 10:30 a.m., one in English at 1:30  p.m. and VIP/invitation only showing at 7:30 p.m. The public showings are free, which means if you want a seat, get there early.

In addition the Iron Throne, the iconic seat of the kings of Westeros, will come to the Sanbusco Market Center 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 29, and the public will have a chance to pose for pictures.

In addition, Martin, Mayor Javier Gonzales and a new Game of Thrones cast memberPedro Pascal, will be at the Sanbusco Market Center for a special declaration of March 29 as George R.R. Martin Day.
