NMFO Announces Film Crew Advancement Program Provides Training To New Mexico Workers

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Film Office (NMFO) Director Amber Dodson announced Tuesday, that in Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20), NMFO had 135 participants in its Film Crew Advancement Program (FCAP).

FCAP is a workforce development program, aimed at providing career advancement training for New Mexico’s film crew.

The Pet Costume Photo Contest is taking place now through Halloween, hosted by the Los Alamos Creative District and Pet Pangaea.
Just snap a photo and post a public photo on social media using #losalamospetcostume and #petpangaea to be entered to possibly win a gift card to Pet Pangaea.

Los Alamos Arts Council Adds To Halloweekend 2020 Fun With Several Pumpkin Carving Events

Join the Los Alamos Arts Council for an enchanted Halloween as carved pumpkins are added to the scarecrow displays on Central Avenue for a bit of festive autumn fun.

The community is invited to take part in the fun by bringing a carved to the Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) booth from 2-4 p.m. Friday in front of Bennett’s Jewelers. From there, the pumpkins will be given a specific place to reside with the existing scarecrows and other select businesses downtown and in Central Park Square.
