Sangre De Cristo Chorale Opens 46th Season Oct. 14

SANTA FE — The Sangre de Cristo Chorale opens its 46th Season with a concert 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church in Santa Fe.

The 36-voice Chorale is led by Interim Music Director Dr. George Case and is accompanied by pianist Deborah Wagner.

The first concert of the 2023-2024 season will feature two 20th century masterworks celebrating pastoral beauty and farm life through the eyes of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and American poet Robert Frost. Pieces by Samuel Barber and Irving Fine round out the concert.

Los Alamos Little Theatre To Hold Auditions For ‘The Play That Goes Wrong’ Oct. 4, 6

Los Alamos Little Theatre announces auditions for its planned January production, “The Play That Goes Wrong” by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer & Henry Shields.

Auditions will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 and Friday, Oct. 6 at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St. Persons auditioning will be asked to engage in dialog and improvisational work based on scenes from the play.

The Family YMCA Kathak Program presents “Dances of India” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 at Duane Smith Auditorium. Indian snacks will be available for purchase during intermission.

The theme for the 2023 Dances of India is Nritta-Nritya and will feature highlights from past Dances of India shows presented by The Family YMCA Kathak program students and guest dancers.
