SANTA FE — Axie Navas, whose efforts as the first-ever Outdoor Recreation Division Director propelled New Mexico as a national leader in the field, is leaving state government.

Growing New Mexico’s outdoor recreation assets is a priority for Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who signed a law creating the state’s first Outdoor Recreation Division (ORD), a division of the Economic Development Department, just a few months after taking office in 2019. Centene Charitable Foundation & Western Sky Community Care Donate $3M For Gateway Project In Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE — Centene Charitable Foundation and Western Sky Community Care have announced  that they have committed funds of $3 million to the One Albuquerque Fund for “The Gateway” project.

The Gateway focuses on key service gaps for the homeless including providing a new center for emergency overnight beds with wrap-around services such as case management, a 24/7 receiving area for first responders, medical sobering, and medical respite.
