Girls in grades K–12 are invited to a Girl Scout information and signup night 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the Bradbury Science Museum.
Girl Scouting in Los Alamos and White Rock is made up of active troops in grades K-6 as well as troops of older girl scouts.
Troops enjoy getting together for field trips, camping, hikes and regular meetings in which girls are encouraged to develop independence and leadership skills.

Council Approves Trinity Lease Transfer to Kroger!
The Los Alamos County Council this evening voted 5 to 2 to approve the lease transfer of the Trinity Site Development project from North American Development Group (NADG) to Kroger. NADG pulled out of the project earlier this month citing disappointment in lease activities and opted to transfer the development lease to Kroger, pending Council approval. Council Vice Chair Geoff Rodgers and Councilor Michael Wismer voted against the motion. I contend that by first denying managers can be leaders, we may actually begin to explore some links between these two roles.
There must be thousands of research articles on leadership alone, and only slightly fewer on comparing leaders and managers.
