PEEC News:
Head to the Los Alamos Nature Center Tuesday, March 10 for an evening of family fun.
The night kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a Family Star Party in the planetarium and continues 6-7 p.m. with Family Night.
Both of these programs take place on the second Tuesday of every month and are free thanks to the Pajarito Environmental Education Center’s sponsors. New Mexico Bank & Trust sponsors Family Star Parties and Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos sponsors Family Nights.
At the Family Star Party, participants will learn about the Spring Equinox, including various traditions used to mark this day around the world. The group also will look at Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn — all of which are now visible in the night sky.
At Family Night, attendees will enjoy a craft, story or other activity with Mesa Public Library’s Melissa Mackey. Parents are required to stay with their children at both programs.Â
