The YMCA Youth Basketball Program is open to all youth in first- sixth grades. Teams are divided based on the elementary school where a child attends, or nearest to their home, so youth can practice and play with friends and classmates.

Cali is a declawed seven year old spayed female calico who was surrendered for being unhappy in her surroundings. She is very affectionate and loves to play fetch, although her idea of fetch is when she tosses toys down from her perch and expects you to return them to her.
Cali is reported to do well with small dogs, some other cats, and even ferrets! She does very well in the communal cat room at the shelter. Because Cali is declawed, she must be an indoor cat only.

By SUSAN WEATHERBIEA group of our dancers have been taking the Atomic City Transit down to White Rock a few times a week. On Wednesdays, they meet the bus across the street from Los Alamos High School and know to tell the driver that they need to connect with another bus at the Transit Center.
Yesterday the bus was a few minutes late and I was concerned they would miss their transfer connection.

NNSA Partners with Russia to Recover Material Possible in Dirty Bombs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), in partnership with the Russian Federation, has successfully completed the removal of 14 Russian radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTGs) from the Northern Sea Route.
These devices, which contain high-activity radioactive sources, powered navigational beacons along Russia’s northern coastline. With this removal, the Department has completed its efforts to recover RTGs along the Northern Sea Route.
