SANTA FE — Gov. Susana Martinez signed legislation Wednesday to extend gross receipts tax deductions to New Mexico’s military bases and test facilities to continue making them more competitive for certain defense projects.

Senate Bill 448, sponsored by Sen. William Burt, R-Otero, extends certain gross receipts tax deductions through the year 2025.

Alice Faye Bair, age 68, passed away on August 14, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV after a long battle with cancer. She was born on July 27, 1946 in Los Alamos, NM where she spent her childhood.

She is survived by a brother, Loy Van Vleet (Ruth), 2 Daughters Karen Rentfrow (George) and Carol Dison (Todd), 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and her 2 dachshunds, Precious and Duchess. It is 7 p.m. on a Tuesday evening and the trash bins line my street still holding their precious contents. 

Looks like our side of the street was forgotten again even though the bins on the other side were emptied. This is getting to be a regular occurrence – every month or two either the trash or recyclables are not collected.
