Los Alamos Police Capture Car Thief In White Rock

At approximately 9 a.m. today, Cpl. David Boe was patrolling White Rock when he identified a stolen vehicle at Overlook Park. The suspect was in the area and fled on foot.

LAPD officers began searching the area for the suspect. Los Alamos Schools were notified of a potential felony suspect on foot in the area. Both Pinon Elementary School and Chamisa Elementry School went to “Lockout” procedures, which is to secure the perimeter out of an abundance of caution.

I volunteer to do that, having spent more than two years on that plan, working with one of the most conscientious planning groups (20-plus citizen volunteers) I’ve been a part in 39 years here in Los Alamos and in my 20 prior years as a marketing exec before moving here.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representatives Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01) and Ben Ray Luján (NM-03) sent a letter to Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Air Force, Heather Wilson, after New Mexico’s Environment Department (NMED) issued a warning that water from several wells on and off the Cannon Air Force Base (AFB) have been contaminated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
