Local Union Endorses Board Candidates And Supports Los Alamos Public Schools Bond

The Los Alamos Federation of School Employee’s Committee on Political Education voted unanimously to endorse Julia Baker, Christine Bernstein and Dawn Jalbert for the Los Alamos School Board.

This group of union volunteers voted to endorse Christine Bernstein in the District 3 race. Bernstein has been an educator for more than 20 years and is a teacher in Pojoaque. Perhaps I’m in the minority, I’m not sure and I’ve never seen a study to confirm. I was raised by a single mother who wasn’t political at all. To the best of my knowledge, she never voted in her life. In any case, I would hope that most people in a town with so many smart people would do their own research and decide who and/or what political party to vote for rather than just depending on what their parents said to do.
