‘A Month Of Art & Culture’ Community-wide Celebration Includes Life Drawing And Jazz At Mesa Public Library

For the third year in a row, the Los Alamos Public Library will participate in the MainStreet and Creative District sponsored, community-wide celebration of a Month of Art & Culture. This year, the Library celebrates with an “Intro to Life Drawing” program, 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 and a “Life Drawing and Jazz” lounge after hours, 5-7 p.m. Saturday Oct. 5. Pajarito Mountain Presents Music In The Mountains Sept. 28

PAJARITO News:

Get your groove on this Saturday at Pajarito with the sounds of the High Desert Blues Band, with an opening by Reminiscent. This band has a unique mission to serve the youth of New Mexico by donating a portion of their earnings to the Freedom in Music Project, which provides instruments to underprivileged youth.

ESPAÑOLA — The City of Española Centennial Celebration Committee has announced its first fundraising event to support the city’s upcoming centennial anniversary celebrations. Gold was discovered in the Fairbanks area in 1902 when Italian immigrant Felix Pedro struck it rich. He put Fairbanks on the map and thousands of men rushed to interior Alaska in search of the precious yellow metal. They were driven by gold fever and the chance to stake their claims, often enduring harsh conditions amid a rugged landscape.
