SANTA FE — Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) is accepting applications for its free Environmental Technician training program, which provides the training, skills and certifications necessary to enter a wide range of job opportunities in the environmental profession. NM Environment Department — Air Quality Bureau – Emissions Inventory Section is conducting several live training sessions for the 2025 Emission Inventory. The fourth live training session is scheduled for 1:30-2:30 p.m., March 12, 2026. All live training sessions will be conducted on MS Teams.

SFCC To Host ‘Wellness Wednesday: One Brain, One Day’ On Campus March 18

SFCC News:

SANTA FE — Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) will host “Wellness Wednesday 3.18: One Brain, One Day” – a special brain health and brain injury awareness event, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 18 in the Jemez Rooms on campus at 6400 Richards Ave.

The event will bring together community partners, health advocates and residents from across Northern New Mexico to learn more about brain injury, prevention and recovery. Partners include the State of New Mexico Governor’s Commission on Disability, Stagecoach Foundation, Presbyterian, SFCC Foundation and Christus St. Vincent. Read More

Six new inductees will be joining the sixty Los Alamos High School Athletic Hall of Fame members next month. They will be honored at a brunch banquet at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 11 at Fuller Lodge.

The UNM-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) My Favorite Lecture Series 2026 is hosting Signals in a Sea of Stars: Finding Exoplanets from 4–5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, in Wallace Hall on the UNM-LA campus. The lecture will be presented by Lorraine Bowman, Ph.D., who is assistant professor of physics at UNM-LA.
