SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers girls varsity softball team hosted the Academy Chargers Saturday at Overlook Park in White Rock.

The Chargers jumped out to an early three-run lead in the top of the first inning, but the Toppers quickly responded in a big way.

In a dominant bottom half of the inning, the Hilltoppers exploded offensively, crossing home plate 19 times to take control of the game.

The Chargers managed to add two more runs in the second inning, but once again the Toppers answered, plating three additional runs to seal the victory early. The Hilltoppers’ powerful offensive performance secured a decisive 22–5 win.
