Mission Street Arts Launches Jemez Springs Newest Artist-In-Residence Program Saturday May 25

JEMEZ SPRINGS News:
 
Jemez Springs’s newest artist-in-residence and community outreach program is hosting a launch event at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25 at the Jemez Springs Public Library.
 
The location of the program is a property Mike Murphy left to his daughters at his death in 2014. He started Mission Street Arts as a studio and gallery space.
 
Mission Street Arts is now owned and operated by Devin Williams and Eva Murphy, and managed by artist Billy Ehret. They are furthering his vision and enthusiasm for many many artistic disciplines.

Natasha Stojanovska Solo Piano Recital Friday

MUSIC News:

Sage Concert Series will hold its next event at 7 p.m. Friday, May 24 at the Unitarian Church of Los Alamos at 1738 N. Sage St.

Natasha Stojanovska, solo pianist, will again present a concert, playing selections of Eastern European piano music seldom heard in the States.

Stojanovska’s first UCLA Concert was a huge success with an overflow audience.

The concert is free but donations are gratefully accepted. Light refreshments will be served following the concert. Read More

The skies over the weekend above Overlook Park in White Rock were filled with kites for the annual Kite Festival sponosred by the Los Alamos Arts Council. The Arts Council has been sponsoring fun events in Los Alamos for the past 52 years. To learn more about the Arts Council, visit their open meeting at 6 p.m., June 1, at Fuller Lodge.
