Silver City Museum: The Silver City Museum is housed in the H. B. Ailman house which was constructed in 1881. Ailman was a prominent businessman and prospector during the mining boom years in Silver City. The Ailman House itself could be considered a museum artifact as it is one of the most prominent houses that remain from the early years in the mining boom in town. Roadrunner Spotted At Residence In North Community
A roadrunner is spotted Saturday scanning the snowy backyard of a residence in North Community. This most famous bird of the southwest is known by its long tail and expressive crest. The Roadrunner walks and runs on the ground, flying only when necessary. It can run 15 miles per hour, probably with much faster spurts when chasing a fast-running lizard or other prey. Museum Of International Folk Art Hosts Year Of The Dragon
The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) has announced that the Museum of International Folk Art is hosting a Lunar New Year celebration 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4 at 706 Camino Lejo, on Museum Hill in Santa Fe.
The community is invited to celebrate the Lunar New Year with Museum of International Folk Art.
There will be family-fun for all ages including art activities, a performance from the Quang Minh Temple Lion Dance Group, and a Taiko drumming performance by Santa Fe Wadaiko.
