Sam Hagan Performs Wednesday at BESC
LARSO News:
The Los Alamos Retired & Seniors Organization (LARSO) is hosting a wonderful lunch concert for seniors at noon Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Betty Ehart Senior Center.
Sam Hagan, vocalist from Atlanta will be accompanied by Juantia Madland.
They performed together last year and were quite a hit. Sam is in town to attend the opera and offered to do a concert at the senior center.

Trinity Drive Curb and Gutter Work Begins Aug. 13
NMDOT News:
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) crews will begin work on a curb and gutter replacement project on westbound Trinity Drive Monday, Aug. 13.
The work area will extend from mile marker 0.0 to mile marker 1.0, or from the intersection of Diamond Drive and Trinity Drive to the Ashley Pond area.
Pedestrian sidewalks along westbound Trinity Drive will be closed as crews remove and replace crumbling and damaged curb and gutters.
The project is scheduled for completion within three weeks, weather permitting.

Building Kindness, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, needs volunteers to help repair homes in neighboring communities.
Be a good neighbor while learning new skills. Both skilled and unskilled volunteers welcome.
This ongoing program meets starting at 8 a.m. every Saturday at the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Espanola.

After relocating to New Mexico from Maryland in 2010, the incoming Los Alamos County Princess, Julia Montoya, continued to pursue her passion for horses and interest in horsemanship with the Turquoise Trail Wranglers 4-H Club.

U.S. Senatorial candidate Heather Wilson will be in Los Alamos Saturday to march in the Los Alamos County Fair & Rodeo Parade.
