Letter to the Editor: New Mexicans Should Stand Up
By JESSE GUILLENAs the United States and Iran work toward a historic nuclear draft accord on the status of Iran’s nuclear program, dozens of US senators have interfered in the negotiations.
Sen.r Tom Cotton and 46 others sent an ill-informed letter to Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran, threatening to end any negotiated agreement regarding nuclear weapons once President Obama leaves office. This undermines the President’s ability now, and in the future, to achieve the national security goals of the United States.
It should be the long-term goal of our national Read More

CLIBURN News:This Week At The Reel Deal
By Jim O’DonnellThis Friday we are opening Home. We will hold Cinderella, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, and The Second Best Marigold Hotel. We were only going to show Marigold Hotel for one week but it did so well, we have to hold it for one more week. Run All Night will end this Thursday but the caveat is that projector broke down and we are waiting on parts so it most likely won’t be repaired by Thursday. I hope to get it up and running by Friday.

Letter to the Editor: 2015 Session Was Not Fun
By RICHARD ELLENBERGCongratulations to our Legislators for coming together in our big tent to turn back efforts to hurt workers and children. The session was not fun, and was full of ‘my way or the highway’ tactics.
The Republicans at the last minute amended the bipartisan capital improvement bill, cutting programs for seniors, education and others, to create a highway slush fund for the Governor to dole out to her supporters. At the end, they gave the Senate 20 Read More

U.S. SENATE News:Column: Anywhere But Here
By KAY KERBYSON“I want to go home”. Those were my Mom’s most memorable words, after “I love you”, just before she passed away from cancer.
At that moment, I thought I knew exactly what she meant. It was physical, not a call to God to take her, but a wish to be back in the house she had lived the majority of her adult life; the house where
she raised her two kids and watched them go off into the world; where she worked from and happily retired in. It was the home she shared with my Dad and the one in which she outlived him. Home
in every sense of the word.
So it came as somewhat of a shock, when one Read More
