COMMUNITY News:

Spring is in the air and the Mountain Bluebird has been spotted around town. There also have been reports of a flock of pink flamingos sighted in North Community.

Jim and Darlene Potter at 2245 47th St. were the latest recipients of the traveling band of pink flamingos that appeared around town last summer.  The Potter’s house was “flocked” by RE/MAX associate broker Paula Barclay after their daughter, Kristin Pederson, nominated her folks for the recognition.

The flamingos are part of a small community beautification recognition program that Barclay is undertaking to thank people who are working to make Los Alamos beautiful.

“My mom decorates their home for every holiday. She really gets into it and the neighbors seem to like it,” Pederson said.

When out and about, drive by and check out the Easter decorations at the Potter home, complemented by a dozen pink flamingos.

Submit the name of someone who deserves a “flocking” to Barclay at paulabarclay@remax.net.
