MOWW will be meeting in the Pecos Trail Cafe at 2239 Old Pecos Trail in Santa Fe. 

The get together will start about 11 a.m. with a social period followed by a brief business meeting and lunch ordered off the menu at about 11:30 a.m. and followed by a general get together.

On the evening of Dec. 7, 1942, a letter from Secretary of War Henry Stimson was read to the students and faculty of the Los Alamos Ranch School. It notified them that the school was being acquired for military use as part of the war effort. The purchase price, around $335,000, included the school’s buildings and all its property, including the land, equipment, and horses.

SANTA FE Thursday, the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) announced that it will conduct a speed recruitment process to fill 20 new positions in Administration, Financial, Equity, Health, and Information Technology fields.

The auto industry has seen its share of labor shortages and supply chain disruptions over the past year. The demand for auto technicians outpaces supply by an estimated 5 to 1, leading to higher labor costs. Strained supply chains have also caused prices for auto parts and vehicles to spike dramatically. Supreme Court Resolves Dispute Over Road Across Private Land For Access To Solar Energy Farm

SANTA FE — The state Supreme Court Thursday ruled the public may cross a rancher’s private property on a road in Quay County under a “prescriptive easement” established by decades of uninterrupted travel on the roadway.
