The online silent auction for Taste of Knowledge is now live! It will close at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
There are 62 silent auction items generously donated by local businesses and organizations. Even those not attending the event can place their bids on auction items at www.tok.givesmart.com.
Taste of Knowledge is a fundraiser for the Los Alamos Public Schools. Proceeds will benefit teachers, staff, students and facilities.

The Public Education Commission meeting to vote on the application of Polaris Charter School to be chartered by the State of New Mexico is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 in Mabry Hall, 300 Don Gaspar in Santa Fe.
Polaris is applying for a state charter in Los Alamos to serve grades 6-8 and represented by founders, Elizabeth Martineau, Bill Hargraves, Scott B. Johnson, Branden Wilman-Kozimor and Amy Bartlett-Gaunt.

SANTA FE – Santa Fe Community College announces student Sara Lanctot of Santa Fe has been selected to attend the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) Onsite Experience at Marshall Space Flight Center in Sept. 23-27 Huntsville, Ala.
Lanctot is studying engineering and computer science at SFCC.
