I am a member of a citizens committee working to assure the passage of the $20 million general obligation bond Nov. 5, 2019 with early voting commencing Oct. 8.
- The bond will NOT raise the tax rate.
- The bond will provide needed funds to remodel and renovate Chamisa and Piñon elementary schools.
- Over the past 20 years, the Los Alamos Public Schools have established a great track record using your tax dollars well to build better schools.
- The excellence of the Los Alamos Public Schools is a key factor in why people want to live in Los Alamos.
Finally, US taxpayers provide our schools $8 million every year to attract and retain the talent needed for the national security science mission at the Laboratory.
This is the opportunity we have to demonstrate a comparably strong financial commitment to sustaining excellent schools and to support the critical work
conducted at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
If our students thrive, our community thrives. Please VOTE YES! Our future and community depend on it.
