Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office Reduces Office Hours In Response To Continued COVID-19 Concerns

COUNTY News:

Due to continued COVID-19 concerns, Los Alamos County Clerk Naomi Maestas is taking additional proactive measures, and has reduced office hours.

Effective Monday, April 6 and until further notice, staff will be available to process Drop-Box items between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday.

The suspension of all in-person services and transactions will continue. 

Customers may continue to drop off items in the designated Drop-Box located outside their office, and items will be returned by mail.

Cumulative Number Of COVID-19 Positive Tests In NM, And Bernalillo, Sandoval & Santa Fe Counties Of April 8

The cumulative number of COVID-19 positive tests in New Mexico and Bernalillo, Sandoval and Santa Fe Counties as of April 8. Note that the Sandoval data is plotted against the right hand axis. These three counties plus Doña Ana, San Juan and McKinley Counties, (see the graph below.), account for 88% of the COVID-19 positive tests results in New Mexico. They account for 89% of the new positive test  results reported today, and 94% of the new results reported Tuesday. County Asks Community For Help Supplying Face Coverings To Employees Working In Field To Protect Against COVID-19

Los Alamos County Emergency Manager Beverley Simpson has called upon the community – especially those with any kind of sewing and handiwork skills – to supply County employees with face coverings, as suggested by the Centers for Disease Control for those working out and about in public places.

SANTA FE —The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish closed multiple Wildlife Management Areas and Open Gate properties at sunset Monday, April 6, to promote public safety.

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials today announced 72 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

Today’s update includes three additional deaths related to COVID-19.

Per the New Mexico Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

  • 20 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 1 new case in Chaves County
  • 1 new case in Cibola County
  • 4 new cases in Doña Ana County
