Staff Report

The Dixie Girl Restaurant at 1789 Central Ave., is holding a contest during January to rename the restaurant. The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate.

A randon drawing will be held in the event of multiple entries for the winning name. Pick up a “Name the Restuarant” form at the restaurant. The form also includes the patron’s three favorite and three least favorite menu items.

Watch for the restaurant’s new name and modified menu coming soon.

Victor Medina and his wife Patricia purchased the Dixie Girl Restaurant in November from Denise Lane. Medina told the Los Alamos Daily Post at the time, “I’ve been a foodie all my life … I really enjoy cooking and do most of the cooking at home. I always dreamed of owning my own restaurant or brewpub,”
