The community is invited to High Tea at 3 p.m., Oct. 1 at Trinity on the Hill in Kelly Hall.

There will be scrumptious savory and sweet offerings, tea, fashions from Shop on the Corner Thrift Store, a silent auction and piano music by Joe Cox.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under and on sale now at the church office or call 505.662.5107.

ALBUQUERQUE ― We, the Catholic Bishops of New Mexico, find the decision by Governor Susana Martinez to place the reinstatement of the Death Penalty on the agenda of a special legislative session to be irresponsible. 
 
The legislature spent a decade debating the issue, ending with a bipartisan vote that ended the practice of a state-sanctioned death penalty. This was a definitive decision and had ample discovery of evidence and debate. That decision should remain final.

I remember being discouraged when I was a kid because we were “poor”. It didn’t help when my older brother would tell me about how great his life was back when him and mom lived in Chicago.
