Rio Grande Guitar Quartet Performs April 26

Los Alamos Arts Council presents the Rio Grande Guitar Quartet at 7 pm., April 26 at Fuller Lodge. The cost is $15 ($10 for LAAC members) and includes light refreshments.

The Rio Grande Guitar Quartet, made up of premiere New Mexico classical guitarists Mickey Jones, Jeremy Mayne, Lynn McGrath and Ben Silva, is an exciting ensemble whose eclectic repertoire spans centuries and genres, including new compositions and new transcriptions.

Tom Rheam Trio Plays Blue Window Bistro April 21

BLUE WINDOW News

The Blue Window Bistro in Los Alamos will host a Jazz Night featuring the Tom Rheam Trio Saturday, April 21. Tickets are $15 per person and dinner reservations are required. 

The Trio will perform 7-9 p.m. Tom Rheam plays trumpet and piano, Dick Hogle plays drums and sings and David Moir is on bass.

Rheam has played on the road with Ray Charles, played backup to Frank Sinatra on recordings, toured with the Glenn Miller Band and many other well-known professional singers and musicians.

Los Alamos Arts Council is presenting for its April 4 Brown Bag Series, “Petra and the Jay” excerpts from the original sci-fi musical book and lyrics by Cary Neeper, music by Alice B. Kellogg, directed by Alicia Solomon.

“Petra and the Jay,” a musical play with a science fiction setting, will be performed at 7 pm. Friday, April 13 and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14 at the Crossroads Bible Church. The production is a benefit for Pajarito Environmental Education Center’s Earth Day events.

LAAC Brown Bag Series is always free, always entertaining.
Take a lunch break at the Brown Bag Performance series in Fuller Lodge. 
Presenting a wide range of programs, from Beethoven to ballet, opera to jazz, chamber music to bagpipes, these concerts have been entertaining Los Alamos music lovers on their midday breaks since 1973. 
Brown Bag Performances connect performers to the community.
