The Sunday Five Wind Quintet will make its debut performance during the Los Alamos Arts Council’s (LAAC) virtual Brown Bag show noon Wednesday.

Sunday Five Winds formed during the pandemic with Gabriela Meriweather on flute, Kwami Barnett on clarinet, Pablo Hernandez on oboe, Dan Nebel on horn and Kyle Sneden on bassoon, who is based in Northern Colorado. Nebel was born and raised in Los Alamos and said he is thrilled to share music

Coro de Cámara Hosts Online Auction April 26-May 4

Making music online during this pandemic year has been both challenging and fun, but it is also expensive. With no concert tickets to sell to live audiences, all performing arts groups have struggled this year, and Coro de Cámara is no exception.

Since they can’t hold an in-person fundraiser this spring, the chamber chorus is hosting an online auction from April 26 – May 4, accessed from the Coro’s website corodecamara-nm.org.

Los Alamos Arts Council Hosts Brown Bag Performance Featuring Renowned Pianist Juanita Madland Wednesday

Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) presents Juanita Madland performing, via a musical recording, pieces from Bach, Mozart, Chopin and others noon Wednesday for the Brown Bag Performance Series.

This music is from one of six concerts Madland performed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Since age 3, Madland has played hundreds of concerts in the USA, Carribbean and Europe. Just some of her winning contests were the New Mexico concerto
