SFNF News:

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) is excited to offer summer internships to students pursuing administrative, physical and social sciences, biology and natural resources, engineering and architecture careers.

These positions will be available across the forest and applications will only be accepted through USAJobs.gov until Jan. 27.

The Los Alamos Mountaineers are thrilled to bring back a full, month-long climbing school, for the first time since 2017. For decades, the school was a significant event for the community and the club, and brought one generation after another to the sport of rock climbing.

Bandelier Offers Cross-Country & Snowshoe Opportunities

With recent snowfall in the higher elevations of Bandelier National Monument, opportunities to cross-country ski or snowshoe may be found in the Upper Frijoles area of the monument located off N.M. 4, near Dome Road. There are four trails: the Cerro Grande, Alamo Boundary (hard to access in winter as Forest Service Road 289 is closed), and the two Upper Frijoles loop trails known as the Ski Trails (one is 2.4 miles round-trip while the other is 5 miles round-trip).
