The Building 5 Lecture Hall on the UNM-Los Alamos campus is being named the “Jeannette O. Wallace” Lecture Hall in memory of longtime New Mexico State Representative Jeannette Wallace.

A major milestone in the development of a community garden by the Los Alamos Youth Food Project has been accomplished. The garden’s field at the Los Alamos Middle School has been leveled. Good fill dirt is being added. Leveling is a key step that is necessary before planter boxes can be built. New Mexico Dance Theater (NMDT), directed by Susan Baker-Dillingham, presents it’s eighth annual spring recital, “The Sky’s the Limit,” this weekend. “Spring recitals are a chance for each student to shine and perform for their families and friends,” said Baker-Dillingham. “We usually have a theme for our recitals, but this year I wanted to give the faculty free reign in choosing a theme for each of their classes; hence, the sky was the limit.”

Firefighters Promoted During Special Ceremony
During a special ceremony Monday at Fire Administration on East Road, three firefighters were promoted. From left, Battalion Chief Paul Grano will supervise the C Shift, Battalion Chief Kelly Sterna will oversee training and exercises related to Los Alamos National Laboratory.
