Celebrate Los Alamos Family Council’s 50-Year Anniversary Wednesday!

CELEBRATE 50 YEARS!

The community is invited to join Los Alamos Family Council as it kicks off of a year-long celebration commemorating 50 years of service to Los Alamos.

The celebration begins from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 with a FAN Club at the Los Alamos Family Council offices, 1505 15th St., Suite C (SW corner of the two story building.)

Voter Registration Closes Today and Absentee Voting Begins

ELECTION 2012 News:

Voter Registration closes at 5 p.m. today in the Los Alamos County Clerk’s Office.

Residents who would like to make changes to their voter registration or register to vote, may do so in the Office of the County Clerk at 2451 Central Ave., Suite D.

Voter registration forms are also available at the State of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Field Office and at the Los Alamos and White Rock Libraries.

Absentee Voting begins today by mail or early in person in the Office of the County Clerk.

Dog Dies After Saving Owner From Fire

In the middle of the night of Sept. 27, Shawn Perraglio was woken up by his dog Bruce because his house was on fire.

Apparently the fire was really out of hand already; Shawn had to crawl out of the house on his hands and knees.

Once Shawn was out of the house, he realized that Bruce did not follow him. Shawn attempted to go back in the house to rescue his dog.

Shawn had to break a window to get back into the house; he has suffered lacerations to his tendons and artery in his hand and arm.
