ALBUQUERQUE ― Well known for its red and green chilies, New Mexico will now offer residents and tourists a new Santa Fe restaurant, which will feature dishes that pay tribute to one of the state’s oldest communities, Chimayo.
Estevan, the Northern New Mexican restaurant created by Chef Estevan Garcia, will open inside Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe in early May and will incorporate authentic Chimayo chile into its signature dishes.

Jack The Bichon Frisé Strolls Downtown Los Alamos
Jack, a 14-year-old Bichon Frisé who is blind with a bad leg, goes for an outing in his stroller Thursday afternoon near the Los Alamos County Municipal Building. A Bichon Frisé (curly lap dog), is a small breed of dog of the Bichon type. The Bichon Frisé descended from the Barbet or Water Spaniel and the Standard Poodle. Bichons were first bred around the year 1300, in France; the queen at the time named them Bichon Frisé. They were the result of breeding her poodle and a Maltese. They were the Queen’s lapdog. Grand Opening: Golf Course Community Building

The public is invited to join the County Council at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30 as they dedicate the new Golf Course Community Building at 4244 Diamond Dr., in Los Alamos.
