Jack The Bichon Frisé Strolls Downtown Los Alamos

Jack, a 14-year-old Bichon Frisé who is blind with a bad leg, goes for an outing in his stroller Thursday afternoon near the Los Alamos County Municipal Building. A Bichon Frisé (curly lap dog), is a small breed of dog of the Bichon type. The Bichon Frisé descended from the Barbet or Water Spaniel and the Standard Poodle. Bichons were first bred around the year 1300, in France; the queen at the time named them Bichon Frisé. They were the result of breeding her poodle and a Maltese. They were the Queen’s lapdog.
