The Los Alamos School of Gymnastics boys’ team had their first meet at home Dec. 5. 
 
Six level 4, three level 5, and one level six gymnast from Los Alamos competed in Elf Magic.
 
In the older level 4 competition Jon Gilbert was first with 55.50, Pasha Trudolyubov was second with 51.70 and Caleb Kersteins was third with 44.40. 
 
In the younger level 4 division Munayo Ferreira was first with 53.40, Dominic Valdez was second with 46.20 and Turo Yarotski was third with 34.60.

I read Mr. Gerald Antos’ letter this morning (Jan. 5, 2016) and was reminded that our tax systems are complex and many people confuse school taxes and County taxes.  While I am not going to discuss the continuation of a tax or reduction of a tax, it is appropriate to distinguish where these taxes originate.

Temporary Road and Area Closures Announced On Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District

SANTA FE – The Santa Fe National Forest has issued a temporary closure order for many roads and areas on the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District restricting the use of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), two-wheel and four-wheel motorized vehicles. Snowmobiles are not prohibited by the order.

The closures have been implemented to protect natural resources and infrastructure, including wildlife, watershed and roads, and to ensure public health and safety during extreme soil moisture and heavy snowfall periods.
