Single Car Crash Saturday On Main Hill Road
The driver of this 2001 Dodge Ram was heading down the Main Hill Road Saturday afternoon when he veered too far into the oncoming traffic lane, over corrected and took out four directional arrow markers before crashing into the rock wall, according to the police report. No injuries were reported. The crash occurred across the line into Santa Fe County so a Santa Fe deputy arrived on scene and it’s not known whether the driver was cited for his actions. As part of Bandelier National Monument’s Centennial, the Intermountain Region of the National Park Service (NPS) has issued a prospectus seeking proposals for the award of a concession contract to provide food and beverage, retail, equipment rental, and firewood sales within Bandelier National Monument.
