After coming off a 1-1 tie with the top-ranked Rio Rapids SC Rapids, the Atomic City United won their final game of the season 3-2 over Durango. Ben Rees opened the scoring for ACU in the first half on a pass from Alex Bullock. Durango tied the game 1-1 before halftime on a breakaway.

The Los Alamos Police Department Investigations Section is seeking the identities of two suspects in a shoplifting case.

LAPD is offering a reward of up to $200 to anyone who has information on the identity of the two suspects.

SANTA FE  Leadership from both the New Mexico House of Representatives and Senate delivered a letter (attached) requesting that the Federal Congressional Delegation contact the Department of Justice and other relevant federal agencies regarding the behavioral healthcare crisis in New Mexico.

Adrian Medin, 5, had a perfect prediction in the Pipeline Road “Gut-buster” race held in the Quemazon area.
 
His finish in the of 15:30 in the one mile race was exact to his prediction. Other accurate predictors were his father Zachary Medin at 6 seconds off, Allison Chan with a 22 second differential, and Katie Gattiker at 48 seconds.

Letter To The Editor: Brush And Weeds Aren’t Only Things People Leave On Sidewalks

I appreciate the information about keeping sidewalks clear of brush and weeds. However; these aren’t the only things people leave on sidewalks.

 
My dog and I walk every morning in the area around Urban Park and people leave the large trash bins, kids’ basketball stands, and even cars protruding from their driveways on the sidewalk. It means that we have to walk into the street to get around. Sometimes it’s on a curve and drivers can’t see us until the last minute.
 
I’m not sure if there’s an ordinance for these obstructions
