Summer Concert News:
The 2021 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series presented by Toyota of Santa Fe, presents the second live show concert of the 2021 season featuring folk rock/Americana sensation Dusty Low from El Paso, Texas.
Dusty Low, the third collaboration of the Sullivan brothers, has brought their folk-rock/Americana roots to fruition. The Sullivans have been sharing their original music nationally and internationally since 2007.
Jesse Sullivan leads the group on vocals and guitar. Danny Sullivan sings back-ups as well as holding down the beat on the drums. Sam Sullivan adds trumpet and harmonica licks and contributes on vocals, completing the Sullivan Bros three-part harmony.
In 2016 the boys were joined by longtime friend Adam Trzyna on bass, guitar and vocals. Dusty Low is working on their fourth studio album, which they plan to release early next year. For more information about the band, visit www.DustyLow.com.
This second Overlook Park live in-person concert is Friday July 9 and will be the final concert of the series to take place in White Rock.
“Concert attendees should bring their flashlights, chairs, blankets, snacks and food to the concert as there will not be any vending at this concert,” Sancre Productions spokeswoman Monica Griego said. “The 2021 summer concert shows return to Ashley Pond Park July 16 with Igor & The Red Elvises concert sponsored by Enterprise Bank and Trust and featuring DK & The Affordables as the opening band.”
The Ashley Pond Park concerts also will feature restored vending to the public including the NM Craft Beverage Garden by Santa Fe Spirits, exciting opening bands, youth music performances and exhibits of all new 2021 Toyota of Santa Fe cars, trucks and SUVs.
This Friday’s concert is sponsored by Los Alamos MainStreet in celebration of the 2021 ScienceFest. Los Alamos ScienceFest 2021: Driven by Science runs July 6-11 and will be held in a hybrid fashion. Organizers, sponsors and partners have produced at-home Discovery Boxes with STEAM activities in lieu of the traditional Discovery Day, which will not be happening this year. For this pilot program, 500 boxes are available for three different age groups: preschool, ages 5-12 and teens/adults. Discovery Boxes are available for reservation through the ScienceFest website on a first-come basis and can be picked up at the Small Business Center behind the Los Alamos Post Office at 190 Central Park Square Tuesday July 6, through Friday July 9, during ScienceFest week.
