Boys U16 LAFC Atomic City United finish 2nd in Premiere Bracket LAYSL Coaching Staff.
After coming off a 1-1 tie with the top-ranked Rio Rapids SC Rapids, the Atomic City United won their final game of the season 3-2 over Durango. Ben Rees opened the scoring for ACU in the first half on a pass from Alex Bullock. Durango tied the game 1-1 before halftime on a breakaway.
In the 2nd half, Danny Castano put ACU back in the lead with an assist from Thibault Weller. Durango tied the game 2-2 on a penalty kick, but ACU got the winning goal when Kye Jones played a through ball to Kaoru Shimada who handily beat the goalie. ACU finished the season 3-1-1 against U16 competition and is travelling to Denver to play in the Kelvin Norman Memorial Tournament.
