The UNM-Los Alamos Advisory Board will hold a Special Meeting 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2024, in Wallace Hall, Building 5.
During this meeting, there will be a discussion of the 2024 bond and filling a vacancy on the Board, as well as a presentation of the UNM-LA Open Space and Entrance to the Campus project by Pland Collaborative.

Free Access To eBooks Via New Mexico State Library
SANTA FE — New Mexicans have access to free eBooks, audio books, and subscriptions to The New York Times courtesy of the New Mexico State Library. These resources can be accessed through the State Library’s website, nmstatelibrary.org.
Thousands of titles can be accessed for eBooks and audio books through The Palace Project, an app for downloading books. The New York Times subscription provides free use of the News, Cooking and Games sections of the newspaper.

A fun week of Day Camp is coming to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church July 29 to Aug. 2, 2024. Day Camp involves five days of Christian Day Camping for youth in grades Pre-K through 6 th grade (in the fall).

The Los Alamos Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Chapter 691 is starting a new summer STEM program for young people between the ages of 8 and 17 at Los Alamos County Airport.
The program is called “Young Eagles Build and Fly” and is an intensive hands on RC model building and flying activity designed to introduce kids to aircraft construction and the fundamentals of flight. ALBUQUERQUE — Monday, New Mexico’s Statewide Education Network (SEN) became operational, connecting the first public schools in what will eventually become a comprehensive statewide broadband network, linking public schools with their own school-centric high-speed internet across New Mexico.

Every Monday (except County holidays) from 7-9 p.m. everyone is welcome to free ballroom dancing and lessons at the Betty Ehart Senior Center Center. SFCC Campus To Close For UPS Installation July 12-14

SANTA FE — Santa Fe Community College announces a contractor will install an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) requiring a campus closure 5 p.m. Friday, July 12 through noon, Sunday, July 14.
During this period, all buildings at 6401 Richards Ave., will be closed, and no one will be allowed access during the time of the UPS installation.
Please be aware that some OIT systems will not be available during this time.
This maintenance will cause outages for:

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) announced that it approved funding for up to $2.4 Million to assist companies in hiring and training New Mexico employees. The Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) approved this monthly allotment to nine New Mexico companies, including Spiritus Technologies PBC in White Rock.
