Mountain Club swimmers won first place in the 2024 New Mexico Games held June 16 at West Mesa Aquatic Center in Albuquerque. Duke City Barracuda finished second and Kraken Team earned third.
Mountain Club had 27 swimmers with 81 individual events and 9 relays during this meet. The age groups are 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18, and Masters age groups in 5 year increments.
Mountain Club Nine Relay Finishes:
- 1st & 3rd finish for Mixed 14 & under 200 Medley relays
- 2nd & 8th finish for Mixed 200 Medley relays
- 5th finish for Mixed 400 (8×50) Free relays
- 1st & 3rd finish for Mixed 14 & under 200 Free relays
- 2nd & 6th finish for Mixed 200 Free relays
All Mountain swimmers achieved top 3 finishes in their age groups:
- For 8 & Under Group: Freja Arbuckle, Miles Chen, Jiadong Guo, James Lei, Eleanora Minko, James Neal, Grace Waters and Graydon Waters.
- For 9-10 Group: Leandre Capolungo, Sydney Chen, Emma Fuentes, Jialiang Guo, Grace Lin and Preslee Robinson.
- For 11-12 Group: Simeon Capolungo, Javier Chacon Cuesta, Justin lei, Leia Lin and Benjamin Minko.
- For 13-14 Group: Thomas Daligault, Emilie Daligault, Angelina Goodman, Sophia Pakin and Kevin Zou.
- For 15 & Over Group: Rayn Neal, Takeshi Shiina and Takuma Shiina.
All of our medalists are qualified for the 2024 State Games of America National Competition July 19-21 in San Diego, Calif.
