Art Opening Marks Proud Moment for Pinon Students
The bubbly flowed as young artists soaked in the excitement of their first art opening Friday evening at Village Arts at 216 DP Road. Hors d’oeuvre trays filled with grapes, crackers and cheese coupled with glasses of sparkling cider served by owner Ken Nebel enhanced the magical atmosphere for Pinon Elementary School students who mingled among community members, sharing the inspirations for their work. Community Winds Concert to Light Up the Stage Saturday
Los Alamos Community Winds will celebrate light, hope and renewal in their upcoming concert, “Finlandia! and Other Brilliant Lights.”
The concert will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at Crossroads Bible Church. The concert is a benefit for the New Mexico Alzheimer’s Association.

See “The Invisible War,” a groundbreaking investigation into what Newsweek has called “the most underreported crime in America”: the epidemic of rape in the U.S. military at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21.
