The Los Alamos Youth Soccer League is in DIRE NEED for both a recreational coordinator(s) and referees for the upcoming soccer season (2019-2020).
 
The LAYSL is a volunteer driven club that absolutely relies on community involvement to keep the program strong and vibrant.
 
Typically, we need one recreational coordinator for both the Los Alamos and White Rock training sessions, which are two days a week with games on Fridays. The recreational coordinator position is held for two years.

After a period of hot temperatures, the weather has fallen into a typical monsoon season pattern with clouds building over the mountains during the day and forming thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evenings. Some of these storms will move down into the valleys.

Storms at lower elevations can be hit-or-miss, with heavy rain falling in some spots while not too far away it can still be hot and dry.

Be sure to pack some rain gear with you when you head outdoors on fishing and hiking trips.

Ninja Kidz Blast Into Los Alamos Beginning Aug. 1

Ninja Kidz is coming to Los Alamos High Flyers Gymnastics (LAHFG).
 
Ninja Kidz is a fun, recreational program designed for children ages 5 to 12 and combines aspects of gymnastics, parkour, and martial arts.
 
Starting Aug. 1, High Flyers will be offering six one-hour classes per week devoted to the new co-ed curriculum. The program includes four different events, with four different levels the ninja can progress through. The four events are practices of Form, Obstacle, Climb and Power.

Scenes From 45th Annual Los Alamos Triathlon

‘And They’re Off’ … the start of the 45th annual Los Alamos Triathlon, the oldest continuously running Triathlon in the nation. The race is a sprint triathlon with a unique format of bike, swim and run at an elevation of 7,400 feet. This year 129 contestants entered to compete in several classes, from Elite to Junior and Clydesdale with teams comprised of male or female or both.
