Attention Los Alamos And White Rock Soccer Residents … Volunteers Desperately Needed Right Now!

LAYSL News:

The Los Alamos Youth Soccer League is in DIRE NEED for both a recreational coordinator(s) and referees for the upcoming soccer season (2019-2020).

The LAYSL is a volunteer driven club that absolutely relies on community involvement to keep the program strong and vibrant.

Typically, we need one recreational coordinator for both the Los Alamos and White Rock training sessions, which are two days a week with games on Fridays. The recreational coordinator position is held for two years.

Unfortunately, without identifying at least one recreational coordinator for the upcoming season, LAYSL may have to completely drop the recreational program if we do not find a volunteer.

Please consider donating your time to the local soccer club that has been going strong since 1982.

In addition, LAYSL is going to hold a live referee clinic Aug. 17 to certify new referees (and recertify current referees). LAYSL will pick up ALL the costs associated with the referee clinic and will PAY for games refereed in both Santa Fe/Los Alamos (Northern) and Albuquerque (Duke City League). An online course through the US Soccer Federation is required prior to attending the live course.

Details for the live referee clinic will follow very shortly (through email blast and the laysl.org website). The drop in the number of referees available is a State-wide issue, so we could really use your help to jump in and become a certified referee (or renew current certification).

We thank you for your continued support and please do not hesitate to contact anyone on the LAYSL board at layslinbox@gmail.com should you have any questions, comments or concerns.
