LARSO Hosts 8 Ball Pool Tournament Aug. 8

The Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO), which operates both the Los Alamos and White Rock senior centers, will host an 8 ball pool tournament during the Los Alamos County Fair and Rodeo. CLOVIS The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is seeking public comment on a draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for construction of the Clovis Wing-shooting Complex and Archery Range at Ned Houk Park.

This time last year I had stopped fishing most rivers and streams because of the low streamflows and warm water temperatures.

The trout were being heavily-stressed and even if you were practicing catch-and-release, the stress of being caught was often too much for the fish to take and they would die as a result.

There were fish kills on several sections of rivers. Over the border in Colorado, voluntary restrictions were in place because they too were suffering from the same conditions.
