Lacrosse On-Line Registration Now Open

Registration for the Los Alamos Youth Lacrosse Spring 2018 season is now open at http://laylax.org.
  • Base fee is $130 per player, all ages and genders.
  • Early Registration Discount: $5 through midnight on Jan 31
  • Late Registration Fee is $5 after March 4 for high school and after March 15 for youth
  • Family Discount (part of same household):
    • $13 for the second player (10%),
    • $10 for the third player (8%),
    • $6.50 for each player thereafter (5%)
  • Promo Code: GIRLSGEAR18 will reduce costs by $20 for girls only
  • Players may request equipment and pay the rental fee during online registration.

Pajarito Ski Area Is Making Snow!

Pajarito Mountain Ski Area is making snow and will continue to do so until its Dec. 16 opening date. According to Manager Tom Long, the temperatures are cooperating but Mother Nature hasn’t done her part with providing snow. Long said 1.6 million gallons of water from the snow-making water pond is being used judiciously so as to have coverage for a run from top to bottom, the beginner area and the new Magic Carpet area. ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Activities Association has made significant changes for the 2018-2020 seasons. The first change is eliminating the 6-A Class in all sports except football. Using three-year average attendance records as the metric, schools are placed in classes by size and broken into districts by region. Schools with an average attendance of 550-1,299 students are placed into the 4-A classification.
