LAMS Early Dismissal Feb. 26 For State Speech Debate Tournament

The State Speech/Debate tournament will be hosted by Los Alamos High School and Los Alamos Middle School Thursday, Feb. 26. There will be approximately 350 students, along with their coaches and chaperones, arriving at LAMS that afternoon.
To accommodate the facility needs associated with this tournament, LAMS students will be dismissed at 1 p.m., that day in order to utilize LAMS for the registration of participants and for State Speech and Debate competitions in the afternoon and evening.

SCRGCSierra Club Rio Grande Chapter (SCRGC) will offer lobbying trainings 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday during its Lands, Water and Wildlife Day at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe.

SANTA FE—The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) will waive fees at many recreation sites and amenities over the Presidents Day weekend Feb. 14-16.
Fees at all national forests and grasslands will be waived at many day-use sites, such as picnic grounds and developed trailheads, in cooperation with other federal agencies under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act. Day-use fees will be waived at all standard amenity fee sites operated by the Santa Fe National Forest.

NNSA, Air Force Complete Successful B61-12 Life Extension Program Instrumented Flight Tests

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and United States Air Force completed eight successful B61-12 Life Extension Program (LEP) Vibration Fly Around/ Instrumented Measurement Vehicle (VFA/IMV) tests at Eglin Air Force Base and Edwards Air Force Base during July to December 2014.
The VFA/IMV test series collected and verified flight environment data for the B61-12 LEP.
