Tyler Webb, 29, of Los Alamos, NM died March 31, 2015 after battling a long illness. Tyler was born in Los Alamos, NM on March 21, 1986. He attended Los Alamos Schools thru middle school.

IRS Seeks Nominations For Advisory Committee

PHOENIX – The Internal Revenue Service is requesting membership nominations for the Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC), a federal advisory committee that advises the IRS on various tax administration issues.

The IRPAC presents a report to the IRS Commissioner at a public meeting each fall. Members are appointed to three-year terms, but terms are staggered so that approximately one-third of the committee membership changes each year. Governor Signs Legislation To Create Commission To Establish New Mexico’s Rio Grande Trail

STATE News:

SANTA FE — Gov. Susana Martinez signed legislation Thursday creating a commission to bring state, local, tribal and private stakeholders together to establish the Rio Grande Trail, which would span 500 miles across the state from Colorado to Texas.

Martinez also signed legislation to ensure that the Firefighter’s Survivors Fund is sufficiently funded.

Letter to the Editor: Dogs Bark For A Reason

Hello, I would like to address the families who are complaining about the “non-stop” dog barking:

  • First off, you obviously do not have animals; and
  • Second off, it’s a part of life. Dogs bark. Get over it.

It is considered animal abuse to remove an animal’s vocal cords. It’s the same as taking away your vocal cords. We don’t remove people’s vocal cords every time they are annoying, loud, or make us mad. So we shouldn’t do it to animals.
