NM Senate Passes Historic Compromise, Bipartisan REAL ID-Compliant Driver’s License Legislation

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Senate Saturday night unanimously approved House Bill 99, as amended, an historic, bipartisan compromise to bring the state’s driver’s licenses into compliance with federal REAL ID requirements.

The bill now advances to the House of Representatives for concurrence with the Senate’s amendments. The measure would make New Mexico driver’s licenses compliant with the federal REAL ID Act if it is approved by the House, and signed by the Governor.

Los Alamos National Laboratory Executive Director Richard Marquez resigned his position Thursday. The Lab has not yet released a reason for the resignation.

Neil Zack, 68, passed away February 10, 2016. He was born April 26, 1947 in Canton, Ohio to Joseph and Frances Zack.

Neil is survived by one brother, Philip Zack, his wife Susan, and sister in law, Shirley Zack, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one brother, Duane Zack.
