Dear Los Alamos Residents and Co+op Market Members,

I thought a quick note to our community might be very helpful given some of the recent issues our Co+op Market is experiencing. You may not know that the Co+op Market is struggling financially.

SANTA FE – Today, Rep. Jim Smith pre-filed HB 105, legislation that would update the Secretary of State’s campaign finance information system to provide more transparency and accountability in New Mexico’s campaign finance reporting.

“The current campaign finance information system is outdated which makes it difficult to track information,” Smith said. “It’s time to update the system so that the information it provides is consistent and more accessible to New Mexicans.”

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) issued the following statement today regarding the capture of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman-Loera. El Chapo, 57, is a Mexican drug lord who heads the Sinaloa Cartel, a criminal organization named after the Mexican Pacific coast state of Sinaloa where it was formed. Ann Roach, 92, a resident of White Rock, passed away at her home in the presence of her family, Wednesday, January 6, 2016, following a short battle with cancer.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bart and Frances Shepherd; children, Beverly Ann Mattson, Sara Lynn Evans, Pam Mackey; brothers, Bill Shepherd, and John Shepherd.

ESPANOLA  The Dean of Northern’s College of Business Administration, Dr. Lori Baca, announced in late December that a new accelerated associate degree program in Business Administration will be offered at the college starting with the Spring 2016 semester Jan. 19.
