The National Hispanic Cultural Center is partnering with Frank and Pilar Leto to present the Center’s annual celebration of Carnaval with “Carnaval 2016: Ticket to Paradise” at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Feb. 5-6 in the NHCC’s Albuquerque Journal Theatre.
Tickets are $17, $22, and $27, with a $2 discount for students, seniors, and NHCC members, and are available from the Center’s Box Office, at 505.724.4771, or at www.nhccnm.org.
“Ticket to Paradise” transports the audience to exotic Carnaval destinations in a festive and colorful evening of music, dance, and theatre. You are invited to join the party at our first stop in Rio de Janeiro, then on to Trinidad, Cuba, and our final destination, New Orleans.
Pilar Leto, founder and artistic director of the Odara Dance Ensemble, and Frank Leto, composer and leader of the musical group PANdemonium, have once again created a new production with enchanting music, vibrant dance, exquisite costumes, and an engaging story.
The National Hispanic Cultural Center is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Hispanic culture, arts, and humanities, and is a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs.
